Forest Gump stated “you Never Know What You’re Gonna Get,” but at La Michoacán You Do. You’re gonna get some delicious tamales. I’ve been in and out of this small family owned Mexican Grocery just for their catered items served up ready to eat in the back of the store for the last twenty years. Although it is not a dine in, the prices are reasonable, front parking great, and the family are super professional. The menu of ready to serve sandwiches are limited, but the portions and fillings are succulent and very flavorful. The sons in charge are well trained by dad and will do everything to make your order super foodie worthy. So stop in and get your authentic grub on!

One of the best places I’ve found to eat tamales. Don’t let the small store size fool you into passing by. While they might not have as many products as larger Mexican stores in the DSM area. The shinning star is the food served here. The service is always friendly and feels like you’re going to neighbor for a nice meal. They have thrown in extra tamale for me every once in awhile. I know they are adding extra seating to expand. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for fast option to dinner. Unlike fast food, I never feel guilt after eating here.
