Copeland's of New Orleans

The moment you walk in, the atmosphere was dim, homey and inviting. The hostess was friendly and seated us quickly. Our waitor Jeremiah was very nice and helpful, he gave us recommendations and pointed us in the right direction when it came to the appetizers and drinks. Everything tasted really good, and was nicely presented on the plates. The chicken tenders were just okay, and they weren't very crispy unfortunately. And though the biscuits were delicious, they had no structural integrity once you picked them up/bite into them.
Overall, we enjoyed our time dining here and will come again for brunch.

Copeland’s – Feedback Regarding My Visit on June 18, 2026

Copeland’s has always been one of my favorite place to dine. The food selections are excellent, reasonably priced, and the drinks are consistently amazing. Over the years, the servers and managers have always been welcoming, attentive, and accommodating, which is why I continue to choose your establishment.

Unfortunately, my visit on June 18, 2026, felt very different.

I specifically requested to be seated in the bar area. The hostess was not particularly welcoming and advised there would be a 10–15 minute wait. I provided my phone number and waited, only for the wait to extend to approximately 35 minutes. To add to my frustration, we were ultimately seated in the dining room rather than the bar area as requested. I was disappointed but chose to move forward because we were hungry.

Throughout the evening, it appeared the restaurant was understaffed. I had to repeat several menu requests, and our server seemed unfamiliar with some of the new menu offerings and occasionally forgot small but important details, such as bringing lemon for my tea and ensuring my husband’s burger was prepared as requested, with spinach instead of fries and cut in half. I absolutely love the Yaya soup and it was delivered to my table Luke warm. She did mention that the kitchen was running slowly while acclimating to the new menu.

I also noticed a significant increase in menu pricing, with many items starting at $18 and above. In today’s economy, dining out has become a treat for many families. People are facing layoffs and financial challenges, and consumers are making intentional decisions about where they spend their money. While we appreciate your establishment, it’s important to remember that our patronage is a choice, and excellent service and attention to detail matter more than ever.

I have been very fond of Copeland’s for many years, which makes this feedback difficult to share. My hope is that this experience was an exception and that the restaurant can return to the timely, attentive, and welcoming service that made me a loyal customer in the first place.

Over all really good. The food was a little salty. The restaurant inside is very elegant and classy. We really enjoyed the experience

The food is very good and they do not try to overdue it. The oysters were amazing. We’ll definitely be back and Sophie, our waitress, was wonderful!
