Las Vegas, 3528 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89169

If you’ve been in Las Vegas for a while, you know that the Boulevard Mall at 3528 S Maryland Pkwy is a true legend. It was the very first indoor mall in the city, opening way back in the late '60s. While the big-box department stores of the past have mostly moved on, the mall has completely reinvented itself into something much more interesting. It’s no longer just a place to buy a pair of jeans; it’s become a massive community hub where you can find everything from a full-scale aquarium to a specialized marketplace that feels like a trip abroad.

The biggest standout feature these days is definitely El Mercado. If you haven't been lately, this is a huge indoor marketplace with over 190 different vendors. It has its own dedicated food court with authentic international cuisine that blows standard mall food out of the water. You can find unique artisan crafts, traditional clothing, and specialty items that you just can't get at the bigger chain stores. It’s given the mall a vibrant, lively energy that reflects the diverse families living in the surrounding 89169 and 89119 neighborhoods.

Beyond the shopping, the Boulevard Mall has turned into a major destination for family fun. It’s home to SeaQuest Las Vegas, an interactive aquarium where you can actually feed the animals, which is a massive hit for birthday parties or just getting the kids out of the house. There’s also a Galaxy Theatres with luxury seating, a go-kart track, and even a miniature train called the Jupiter Express that circles the mall. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend an entire afternoon without ever getting bored.

What locals really appreciate is how convenient the whole setup is. Since it’s just a couple of miles east of the Strip, it’s easy to get to, and the parking is way less of a headache than at the tourist-heavy malls. You still have reliable favorites like Marshalls, Goodwill, and 99 Ranch Market for your day-to-day needs, but the addition of call centers and community services inside the mall means there’s always a steady "boots on the ground" crowd. It feels like a space that was actually built for the people who live and work in Las Vegas.

If you're planning a trip, the Boulevard Mall is open every day to fit your schedule. The standard mall hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Keep in mind that El Mercado usually runs on its own schedule, often open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Whether you're hunting for a hard-to-find spice, catching a movie, or taking the kids to see the stingrays, it’s a classic Vegas spot that’s still going strong

I just discovered this mall 2 days ago with my youngest daughter. The buildong looks old school and inside is very nice! They have rock climbing, a Dinosaur arcade with 2 huge dinosaur rex in the front and few smaller arcades. They also have a movie theater and also an entrance inside the mall that takes you to while different atmosphere. Its almostblike a maze. They have different stores of different cultures. Will be going there soon.

Great to shop but no parking without money. Parking too expensive.

Went to the movies at the theaters there. I grew up in Las Vegas & I'm now in my sixties. A lot has changed. This mall being one of the major changes as was the theater experience. Loved the recliners in the theater, but don't know how people can afford going to movies anymore, especially familys. We waited until the movie had been out a few weeks, so the ticket prices were down quite a bit, but even though we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it's a rare occasion. $25. for two people. Extremely large blockbuster for a month, but the large theater only had 12 people tops on a weekend evening. If they would bring the prices down, more bodies would have been in the seats. I'd gladly go see it again, but not at those prices. Then the outrageous concessions. $9 for a large soda! And when and why is there a bar at a movie theater selling hard alcoholic beverages??? . The mall itself is still under renovation and needs more variety of stores.

Boulevard Mall is a pretty average and unremarkable shopping center. It’s usually not very crowded. I’ve only been there a couple of times, mainly because there’s a great Mexican barbershop located inside.

A large number of the stores are closed, and the mall feels quite empty overall. I’m sure it was doing much better before COVID, but nowadays it’s clearly struggling. Still, it’s better than nothing, especially if you need one of the few remaining businesses.

This mall needs to place their correct closing time up. Three times already I have tried to exit or enter by the UEI entrances to find doors already locked 5-10 minutes before 7PM. NOT RIGHT!

This mall has evolved into something else, not bad but interesting. I remember when Sears was there in the 80's and you could shop tools and seasonal upstairs and kids clothes downstairs for "back to school" sales. Now Dillards is a Goodwill, there's a train ride inside and a dirty animal habitat, wow. This place doesn't read, "Las Vegas" local shopping anymore. Nonetheless it's perhaps an interesting place to take a child if you have the time to visit this place.
