If you’re hanging out around Downtown or living in the East Fremont area, you probably already know Family Food Mart at 1102 E Fremont St. It’s located right on the corner of Fremont and Maryland Parkway, sitting perfectly between the flashy Fremont Street Experience and the cooler, more local East Village. This isn't your typical shiny, corporate convenience store—it’s a classic neighborhood "bodega" that has been a staple for years. Whether you're a local resident grabbing milk or a tourist looking for a cold drink that doesn't cost Strip prices, this is the spot.

One of the biggest perks of this shop is how much they cram into a small space. They have a surprisingly solid selection of craft beers and tall boys, which is perfect if you’re heading out for a night on the town or just want to relax at home. Unlike the big grocery stores where you have to hike across a massive parking lot, you can park right out front, run in, and be back in your car in two minutes. For those of us living in the nearby apartments, it’s a total lifesaver for those "I forgot one ingredient" moments or when you just need a quick snack at an odd hour.

What really distinguishes Family Food Mart is the vibe. The staff has seen it all and they’re usually pretty quick with a joke or a nod of recognition if you're a regular. It’s got that authentic, old-school Vegas grit that makes it feel like a real part of the community. They carry everything from basic household essentials and chargers to a decent variety of vapes and tobacco products. It’s the ultimate "everything" store for the Downtown crowd, and the prices are way more reasonable than what you’ll find just a few blocks west.

Because it’s right in the heart of the action, they keep the lights on late into the night. It’s one of the most reliable places to hit up when everything else is starting to wind down. As of early 2026, the standard hours for the Fremont location are:

Monday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 AM

Whether you’re stopping in for a bag of ice, a late-night Gatorade, or just some lottery tickets, Family Food Mart is a solid, no-frills destination. It’s reliable, convenient, and a genuine piece of the Downtown Las Vegas landscape.

Delicious cheesesteak sandwich. Reasonably priced store too for beers, water etc.

Just got served one of the worst meatball subs I’ve ever paid for. Meatballs and sauce were cold as ice. I took one bite and instantly threw my sandwich away. 15 dollars? 15 dollars and my “hot and fresh” sandwich comes out ice cold? Very disappointing.

In the same area, there are various convenience stores but many of those others have sketchy people constantly hanging out outside and I don't feel like those are all that safe. This place is nice and clean and doesn't have that problem. However, a lot of stuff doesn't have prices on it, and you need to be careful. I was charged $8 for a half gallon of almond milk. I will never buy milk there again. Just ask what it costs before you buy it. A friend told me their deli food is good, so today I tried a hot meatball sub. I thought it was pretty good. I suspect that the other hot deli food (pizza, gyros, etc.) may also be good.

Old school, keep your Guard up as at times the area can be a bit dicey.
