Las Vegas, 2385 E Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119

If you’re a pet owner in the Las Vegas Valley, having a reliable vet you can turn to at any hour is a huge weight off your shoulders. Tropicana Animal Hospital, located at 2385 E Tropicana Ave, has been a staple for local pet parents for years. It’s sitting right in that busy stretch near the intersection with Eastern Avenue, making it a super convenient stop whether you’re coming from the Strip or the residential neighborhoods nearby.

The absolute biggest game-changer here is that they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In a city that never sleeps, having a vet that does the same is a lifesaver. Whether it’s a middle-of-the-night emergency or you just need to drop your pet off for a check-up before a graveyard shift, they’re always there. Many locals appreciate that they handle walk-ins, so if your dog starts acting weird on a Sunday afternoon, you don't have to panic about finding an open clinic or waiting days for an appointment.

What really makes this place feel like a neighborhood spot is the variety of care they provide. They handle the basic stuff like vaccinations, spaying, and neutering (at very fair prices for Vegas), but they also have the gear for more serious things like surgery, dental work, and diagnostic imaging. They’re even known for seeing more "exotic" pets, so if you have a bird or a reptile that needs a look-over, this is one of the few spots in town that can actually help you out.

The vibe inside is busy but professional. Because they take walk-ins and are a high-volume hospital, it can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but the staff is used to the fast pace. They even have a private room for those tough end-of-life moments, giving families the space and time they need to say goodbye. It’s that balance of being a high-tech medical facility while still keeping the "local vet" heart that keeps generations of Vegas families coming back with their fur babies.

Dr. Lee is a saint! She has performed surgery on two of my cats and they're living a wonderful life due to Dr. Lee and my credit cards

It's hard to write this review...
But my pibble was having a hard time breathing, drooling more than normal, and denied food.... I took her to VCA Nellis and without hesitation they sent me to tropicanna VCA....we had exrays and blood work done.... my baby had peripheral effusion, her heart was surrounded by fluids caused by cancer...

Anyways....thats irrelevant to the review...

They gave us great service and theyre cremation offers are great.

I have a nice photo box, with her inside, and a clay paw print, and little 3"×4" framed canvas paw print of my baby...
A certificate of her death and cremation date....
They REALLY made me feel that she was special and not just a ticket number in line.

Tropicanna VCA. Thank YOU for being at the base of my furbabies rainbow bridge.

80lb pitbull...and they loved on her....
The techs and vet cried with us....
I wish i remembered their names....
But the ENTIRE staff was so....
Compassionate.
Thank you VCA.

Our new cat developed conjunctivitis either from stress or 1st RV trip or the windy and dusty conditions of our 1st 2 destinations. We chose them despite 3.7 rating because of 24-7 hours and location convenience, and most recent reviews were positive. As a walk-in, it was a little busy, staff were friendly, and we did not wait too long. Dr. Machiarelli listened to our story, said the drops we got from Lake Havasu Pet Hospital were very good, and she wanted to try and ointment. She also gave us more Gabapentin. She talked about causes of his eye problems, much of which we'd read from Chat GPT. She was very enthusiastic and likeable. The bill was very reasonable compared to back home, most likely due to Vegas' population and the competition. After a couple of days, we called them and asked if we could get more of the eye drops as tge ointment was too hard to apply with our squirmy wormy baby! They kindly obliged and we picked up the med a day later. We are satisfied with this Animal Hospital. They have 2 outside door entries, 1 for cats and 1 for dogs. The parking is a little tricky, and we mistakenly entered a drive up ATM for the Chase Bank next door! Check the map if you are not familiar.

They treated my cat, luna, so well after she swallowed a nerf dart. The doctor was quick and friendly. They always kept us in the loop. I love how they allow visitation while my cat hax to stay there for a few days. Pricing was affordable and upfront.

I had a scheduled c-section for my pregnant dog at a different hospital but she showed early signed of labor which made me panic and worried looking for an emergency vet hospital. I called multiple places which were top stars and they were charging double the price of a c-section. I gave this place a shot because the price was actually lesser then my scheduled appointment. The staff there were very friendly which made me very comfortable and gave me faith that they were going to do a good job. Glad I took my business here because they put my fears to rest and she came out fine and healthy with her new babies. I highly recommend this place if you are in need for an emergency and also being 24/7 which is convenient.
Also the prices were better here and I actually saved money.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Tropicana Animal Hospital team.

Had an amazing experience during a very stressful situation. Our little boy Noctis got into some food he shouldn’t have and ingested something toxic to dogs. Of course like most emergencies it happened right when most vets were closed or closing, and being new to the area I didn’t know who to call. I tried calling an urgent care near me and they advised me they would probably send me out to Animal Emergency after making him puke since they were closing soon. I called Animal Emergency thinking I would just go straight to them instead and they told me it would most likely be 3+ hours of waiting before they’d see him and that I was required to call Poison Control first to start a case (which has its own fee). I was worried the long wait would be dangerous so as a last try I called Tropicana and told them my situation and if they had a long wait time. They told me they had many cases that night, but reassured me my situation was urgent and they would see Noctis right away. Sure enough, as soon as I entered their facility they took him back immediately while I filled out paperwork which I was so appreciative of. They didn’t force me to start a Poison Control case since they were able to care for him right away, and while they offered to monitor him overnight I was reassured that it would be for the benefit of observation and not made to feel like a bad owner for deciding to observe him at home (he’s an anxious guy and having worked at a vet we felt comfortable keeping an eye on him). Best of all, their price was lower than Animal Emergency’s and the Urgent Care’s quote!! For a similar event when I lived in Reno I was charged $1000+. I left paying around $240 for the exam, procedure, medication, and fluids. That was basically the cost for just the procedure at the other locations I called! Thank you so much for taking care of Noctis! Will definitely return (hopefully not anytime soon). Just know they don’t accept CareCredit (our original plan) or Discover (our usual bank)— that was the only thing that caught us off guard, but otherwise great staff and experience.
