TOP important and interesting reviews from patients
- Had a high-quality experience with extremely kind and capable doctors, nurses, techs and staff. They took excellent care of my little girl who broke her arm. I'm in the medical field. Thank you for your excellent care. Couldn't have been better.
- As a Brownsville native, I have always heard the negative comments about Brookdale and was told to avoid it at all costs but my most recent experience has left me to write a review that states otherwise. I’m not sure about the other departments but I recently had an out-patient surgery done by Dr. Wendy-Ann Olivier and everything was done so professionally and courteously. From the attentiveness of the staff, everyone greeting you with a smile, assuring you that things will be fine, even down to the Doctoring welcoming me into the operating room with a song by one of my favorite artists, my experience was phenomenal. I did not see her at the hospital for appointments but she is a plastic surgeon affiliated with Brookdale in some capacity so the surgery was performed there and I do not regret it. In fact, I highly recommend her & her team. Only one week post-op but I love my results so far, much thanks to Dr. Olivier, her assistant Suzette, and her OR team!
- I was in a work-related accident at king's plaza mall where I was doing a construction renovation. I cut 89% of my hand off with a circular Saw. The EMTs and paramedics were there within 8 minutes of calling 911. After reaching the hospital by ambulance I was met by an 8-doctor trauma team who Assessed me and went right to work on stitching up my main artery and all the veins and interior workings of my hand. They were extremely helpful and answered any questions I had. They did excellent work fast. Because if it wasn't for the girl outside the store at the mall I was working at who had a tourniquet I would have bled out in another 3 minutes. The following afternoon I had surgery # 2 to close up the rest of the wound. Doctor Amed was also a plastic hand surgeon who did the rest of my surgery and it's like you can't even tell I cut my hand off. I have 60% of my movement back and it's only 5 months. These guys and girls did an incredible job thank you all so much.
