If you live in the Northwest part of the valley, you probably already look at Centennial Hills Hospital as a major landmark. Located at 6900 N Durango Dr, right off the US-95, it’s a huge eight-story building that has been serving our community since 2008. It’s part of the Valley Health System, and for those of us living in Centennial Hills or Skye Canyon, it’s a huge relief having a full-service medical center so close to home. You don't have to trek all the way down to the Strip or into Summerlin for high-quality care.
One of the things that really makes this hospital stand out is the Women’s Center. It’s not just a standard maternity ward; they go the extra mile with "perks" you wouldn't expect from a hospital, like special afternoon teas and massages for new moms. They also have a Level III NICU, which is a big deal for families because it means if a baby needs extra specialized care, they have the technology and staff right there. It feels a lot more personal and less "institutional" than some of the bigger downtown facilities.
For the rest of us, the 24/7 Emergency Department is usually the main reason we visit. They handle everything from broken bones to serious heart care, and they’ve even expanded with the ER at West Craig for even faster access in the neighborhood. Another cool thing is that Centennial Hills was actually the first tobacco-free hospital campus in Nevada, which really shows how much they focus on a healthy environment. They also have an outpatient therapy center and advanced wound care, so you can handle follow-up appointments right on the same campus.
Because it's a hospital, the main medical services never really "close," but different departments have their own schedules for visitors and non-emergencies. As of early 2026, here are the general hours to keep in mind:
Emergency Room: Open 24/7, 365 days a year.
General Visiting Hours: Open 24/7 for adult care areas (subject to medical needs).
Cafe Hours: Breakfast 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM; Lunch 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Dinner 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM.
Gift Shop: Typically open during standard daytime business hours.
Whether you’re there for a happy occasion like a new baby or a stressful one like a late-night ER visit, the staff here is known for being neighborly and professional. It’s a modern, clean facility that makes a hospital stay feel a little more manageable when you’re right in your own backyard.
