Miami, 5445 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Stepping into the Russian and Turkish Baths at 5445 Collins Ave isn’t just a spa day—it’s a subterranean voyage into an old-world tradition that has outlasted every Miami trend since 1982.

Nestled in the lower level of the Castle Beach Club, this isn't your typical "cucumber-water-and-Enya" sanctuary. It is a raw, authentic, and delightfully intense immersion into the art of the steam.

The Elemental Experience

Forget "gentle mist." Here, the elements are dialed up to eleven. The air is thick with the scent of eucalyptus and the echoes of history.

The Russian Parilka: This is the heart of the operation. A massive brick oven filled with 20 tons of river rocks creates a dry, searing heat that demands respect. This is where you’ll see the traditional Venik platza—a rhythmic, invigorating "beating" with bundles of soaked oak or birch leaves to jumpstart your circulation.

The Turkish Hamam: A softer, marble-clad embrace. It’s all about high humidity and deep relaxation, perfect for those who want to melt rather than sizzle.

The Cold Plunge: The ultimate "rite of passage." After the Parilka, you drop into the icy waters. The resulting endorphin rush is better than any double espresso you'll find on Ocean Drive.

A Cultural Crossroads

The "Baths" are one of the few places in Miami where the velvet ropes disappear. In the communal lounge, you’ll find:

Tech moguls and construction workers sharing a bench.

Local legends recounting stories over plates of authentic borscht and valleniki.

A "no-nonsense" atmosphere where the only dress code is a towel and maybe a felt sauna hat.

Why It’s Unique

While the rest of Miami Beach is busy being "new," the Russian and Turkish Baths are busy being real. It is a gritty, soul-warming sanctuary where the heat cleanses more than just your pores—it clears your mind. It’s loud, it’s hot, it’s social, and it’s arguably the most honest experience you can have in the 305.

Pro Tip: Go for the "Dead Sea Salt Scrub" if you want your skin to feel like it was personally polished by an angel, then head to the poolside restaurant for some smoked salmon.

What an experience. Was on a boys trip to Miami from up North. My friends and I debated this spot, or a pool party/DJ thing.

So happy we chose this place.

About a dozen different rooms spanning cold, hot, dry and wet, and even a fire hose room. Yes, a room where you spray eachother with a fire hose

We spent 4 hours there. Hit a few rooms for an hour. Grabbed an ice cold beer (or three) at the restaurant there. Hit the pool outside. Hit the beach. Back inside for round 2.

We were there on a Saturday at opening (12 PM) and it was empty, but by 4 PM it was packed.

Ratio of men to women was probably 4:1 but nice mix overall.

There was a social element to it also. Meeting new people. Having fun. Laughing.

Great time.

I didn’t go into the bathhouse, but I did have a one hour deep tissue massage that was absolutely excellent. I’m 61 so when the Massage Therapist came out, looking like UFC prize fighter I worried that I had asked for too much by requesting deep tissue. I feared I could be broken since I’m strong but feel frail sometimes. What I experienced was a man who fully understood muscle manipulation, and massage therapy techniques. I’ve had a super sore neck for a while now and he rubbed the stress right out. It was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I think I’ll go back today. Thank you so much for your professionalism and skill. I highly recommend people go here, but they obviously don’t need it because the walls are lined with celebrity endorsements.

0/10 — Absolutely Horrible Experience

I called this bath spa just to ask a simple question about availability. Instead of helping, the staff yelled at me and insisted I “come in to make a reservation,” even though I wasn’t trying to book anything yet I literally just wanted to know if they were packed before ubering over.

I’m currently on leave from the military and was hoping to find somewhere peaceful to relax. Instead, I got treated with attitude and disrespect over the phone. The customer service was shockingly unprofessional, rude, and completely unnecessary.

I ended the call feeling more stressed than when I started. Definitely not the place to go if you’re looking for any sort of relaxation or kindness. I won’t be giving them another chance. Terribly disappointed.

Omg it's a filthy place . So disgusting starting with the guys that work the front desk . Extremely rude. We cane in there ano lockers available. Lockers are tiny can't fit anything inside. They give u one towel and thata it for the entire time that your there. No slippers , you have to bring your own which is okay had they told me that when I called before. It was way over capacity way to many people. And just so dirty and broken inside. Never coming here again and they should take away the russian and turkish part out of thier name. Disgusting place

I have been going to the location in NYC for years. I can't believe I didn't know about this Miami location until recently. Luis at the front desk is great. He is always helpful and nice. All of the various steam rooms and sauna rooms are nice. I have also had Salt Scrub and Massage services here – both were great. I definitely recommend checking this place out. They also have Men Only hours, which is nice.
