Excellent service throughout and sorted a vehicle exchange very quickly, with great staff


One star because you can't leave none. I booked with Avis because I thought I could skip the desk and get straight to the car, avoiding the aggressive upsell. Still had to endure that, and then the glory of an added toll pass that I specifically didn't need, extra insurance I didn't want or get given a chance to decline, and an extra $99 charge because 'the money went up!, on a fully prepaid booking. That extra was ultimately removed, bit they still nabbed a fee Dollars from my credit card, because....they could. Never again Avis, you operate like the clowns at Sixt, though your Twitter guys were not bad.


I recently rented a car at Orlando International airport which I have done many times in the past. After receiving The paperwork I proceeded to the car. After 5 minutes 2 other groups of renters came and told me that it was their car that they had just rented lol.


After proving it was my car I finally got to leave and start my vacation. The worst part is when I returned the car and got my final bill I saw there was added insurance which I did not approve for 13 days which came out to over $400. I called Avis and said it would be resolved within 48 hours and 3 days later still haven't heard anything. I plan on fighting this with the department of consumer affairs the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General . Senior citizens shouldn't be treated this way.


Recently needed a rental car for a graduation trip out of state. We flew in, the car was ready to go and I even received a free upgrade (become a Wizard member)


We rented a very well kept Lincoln Nautilus. What a pleasure to drive! No longer are we in the days of two types of 4 door cars- Avis seems to carry a wide variety of vehicles. Yup, we will be back


Did not receive the type of car I need and paid for. It was a three steps to gain a “smaller car” at McO. One line where they took 2x the amount. Then accros the street and floors above we're where we received our car. I only had three choices. Not what I paid for. The car had so many dents, rips in the back seat, etc. If I knew I was driving a lower priced car that came with many issues I would have never used the company. Horrible


I reserved a Toyota Camry and there were no similar cars when I arrived to MCO, so I received a very old Ford SUV, it smelled like cigarettes, the driver seat was burned with cigarettes, and the interior it was very dirty. I went to the AVIS counter to request a change and they gave me another old SUV with more than 45.000 miles. The SUV was far from the Toyota Camry quality and technology. I decided to take the old SUV in order to not waste more time. I'm a Herzt gold member, but this time I decided to try Avis. The Avis service quality is far from what I am used to.


The WORST car rental service!!


I only went to Orlando and when I returned to my country they charged me a toll made in Virginia and they charged me more than 200 usd for a carpet cleaning because it had animal hair. I DO NOT HAVE pets!!! here or there or anywhere. How can they say it's us if we don't even have pets! From avis they send me a photo as "evidence" of a carpet with hair. No date, no show car, nothing. what kind of evidence is that! this is simply a STEAL!!! From avis they tell me that they do not intend to return my money. I demand that they return the money that corresponds to me! what they are doing is scamming and robbing people. Even the agent who spoke to me on the phone did not know what to tell me because the accusation and the actions of Avis are stupid. A SHAME! Give me my money!!!


The rental process was very easy, an upgrade was offered, no human interaction, the vehicle was great and the price was a fair one.

Not happening! We were totally ripped off. We were estimated $281.00, but we were charged $417.57 from one of your deceitful employees. I asked him about the Sunpass. He said it is no problem, just drive through the tolls and your credit card will be charged just for the toll! Then he said that we did not need to fill up the gas tank that your rate was pretty competitive to the gas station $3.55. None of this makes since! We drove a total of about 128 miles. The Kia Soul is supposed to get 27/32 mpg and it has a gas tank capacity size of 14.3 gallons. How could we be charged almost $60.00 to fill it up?


I rented a car on priceline was told it would be $113 when I got my final bill it was $250 not counting the 150 deposit. Wish I did get back.


Terrible customer experience as a “preferred”. First car offered’s trunk didn’t open, second car offered had not been cleaned from the previous renter. No apology, no upgrade offered.


Avis has plenty of rental car options in Orlando, but be sure to book early if you want to reserve a minivan, passenger van, or full-size SUV. Each of these vehicles seat 7 or more. 31st January 2026 Yet again Avis charged for gas when tank was full. Rental was only a few hours and all driving within Orlando. Essentially airport to Millenia Mall and a little bit around it. Filled gas tank , returned and took picture. On filling Nissan Altima gas tank range showed as 365 miles, on return it was 362 miles, Avis charges $15.99!!!!!!

Avis MCO are just complete scamsters

Avis in MCO always charges more than the rental agreement and then you have to spend time getting your money back. As other people have mentioned keep all your bookings and receipts records as the extra charges can hit you from anywhere and then you have the burden to prove that the charges are not valid

Cars are nice but you cannot charge more than you have agreed, do not understand how Avis does not understand that.

I am an Avis Presidents Club member and wonder if that is why I am not expected to look at my bills or they treat normal renters worse

Terrible experience. We were at the Avis preferred line which didn’t display our name on the board. Multiple people were there complaining because their cars were not in their supposed spots. The employee gave us the spot number and literally at the same time a family from Hertz went and took the car. When we tried to get a new car, the employee was completely non-verbal and snapping his fingers at us/looking at his phone. He gave us a smaller car than we requested and was rather unprofessional about it. I’ve never had such a bad experience at any rental car company as that day. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Jan 28, 2026. Staff not 2 friendly, they rush you to check the car out, as a result I left my EZ tag on their cars windshield and a glass shot. Contacted customer svce, who instructed me to file a lost/ found which I did, but they rapidly send me a negative result, a week later my ez tag was charged $20, this tells me that they re-rented the car, they failed to look for my lost items and rented the car again with the tag on it. Irresponsible, liars, scammers. I would hold them fully responsible for all illegal charges. Please b aware of this scam.

Overall it was a good experience; however it took 45 mins after going to the Avis “Preferred” booth to get our car. One lady kept saying that the car is being serviced/cleaned. Finally, a gentleman by the name of Ahmad Hamdan stepped in and immediately found us a Jeep Wagoneer that met all our expectations when we reserved an “Elite” suv. If it wasn’t for his help this would have been a one star review. Hopefully the next time I can just use the app and go directly to my car.

Alquilamos en AVIS desde Argentina para retirar el auto en el Aeropuerto de Orlando el 19/01/2026.La persona que nos atendio en el front desk, nunca nos aclaro que estaba incorporando gastos extras. Muy mala experiencia. Nos cobraron casi lo.mismo que el alquiler, en seguros y otras clausulas. Ademas, la camioneta estaba sucia cuando la recibimos. No los recomiendo.
Lamento que Avis recurra a estos métodos.

Ok im gonna say this. I am gonna make this a little nicer cause these people do not know what to even look for. We were accused of returning the car late. They finally found the car AT WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DROPPED OFF. But yeah. Other than that. I would say we really didn't have any issues with them other than we got a car with no oil change done but they exchanged the car. So no issues with that. Decent but not great. That is all i can say!

I made a reservation around July 2023 for December 2023 travel. Pick up late in evening and vehicle not available. They placed me in a smaller vehicle with a price difference which was not anything but price for smaller car and not the inconvenience. Scheduled travel with a group is difficult in a smaller vehicle with luggage for 5-6 days. Making a reservation 5-6 months ahead should make the vehicle you reserved available

Dirty car on the inside. Dirty seats, sticky marks in cup holders, etc… No one really cleans the car for the next rental guest. DISAPPOINTING!!! I had rented with Avis for a long time too, not a new customer. It seems like the cleaning crew gets worse and worse.

Experiência com a Avis em Orlando. Não deixem de conferir o contrato devido a possíveis cobranças de seguros e outros itens não solicitado, carros em mal estado, sujos e somente similares. Filas grandes de espera no balcão.
Não recomendo.

I left my wallet behind after dropping the car. The team here is honest and took the wallet to the office. I am very thankful to them for the honesty and making my trip enjoyable. I recommend Avis @ Orlando due to exceptional service and seamless pickup and drop off.
