TOP important and interesting reviews from patients
- For about a year, I've had ongoing knee swelling and pain. For the last 6 months, I've rarely been able to walk without a cane. Mind you, the cane helped me walk, but I was in constant pain. My insurance provider sent me to OrthoArizona.
It was super busy when I went, but I didn't wait more than 10 minutes, which was awesome. I had x-rays done, and the staff was super helpful and patient. I never felt rushed at all, even though it was so busy. An assistant spoke with me first, then I spoke with the doctor. Again, nobody made me feel rushed and they both listened to everything I had to say. In the end, the doctor recommended that I receive injections in my knees, and his assistant completed them. Again, she was really patient with me, even though the first injection made me jump (just because it was a weird sensation.) Not painful at all, just... odd. She was totally calm and stuck the needle back in when I was ready a few seconds later. No biggie. The doctors recommendation was spot on. My knees immediately felt better... so much so that I carried my cane out to my car. When I got home, I tried going upstairs, and for the fist time in a year, I was able to walk up AND down stairs like a normal person. It's been a few days now, and the cane is still in the car. I'm thrilled!
- Nice office, was greeted with a smile from the front desk. Rachel the PA was friendly, professional and easy to talk to. Dr Schmidt was awesome as well. Would highly recommend them. - I could not be happier with the experience I have had with Dr. Schmidt and his staff. He performed surgery on a medial meniscal tear and it went superbly well. I took two pain pills and four ibuprofen in the day after the surgery and nothing afterward! His scheduler, Jamie, and his nurse Alicia, were in constant contact, extremely professional, polite, informative and put me at ease throughout the entire process. If you need orthopedic surgery, I cannot more highly recommend OrthoArizona not just for their professionalism and patient care, but also for their follow-up physical therapy which is outstanding and thorough.
