TOP important and interesting reviews from patients

I have had a few issues that have been prolonged so I have had too many visits to count. This is the hospital I always choose because the team embodies a Baptist/Christian attitude. Just about everyone who has cared for me from the doctors to the people who bring your food to the people who clean your room are truly Earth Angels! Thanks for your love, care and compassion I truly appreciate you guys and thanks again for healing me with great care! Good job team you're AWESOME!

I love this hospital because they helped me get my life together without pain pills and alcohol/ Believe me after 3 hernia surgeries anyone could get addicted to the medication. The beers were becoming a regular thing for me. Thank God for people there and Baptist Hospital. I'm 5 plus years straight and sober and just a few days spent in there. Praying for mercy. It was for sure positive for me. Thank God and thank you all for your support.

My son was in the ER last week and every single person, nurse and doctor that saw to him were friendly and helpful. I do have to give a shout out to a special nurse, Atya! She was a key factor in my son's experience being a positive one. She explained everything to him as he needed and talked to him with respect.

Excellent hospital! Thanks to the emergency room, cardiology department, the outpatient preoperative services, and the ambulatory service department for all your care of my mom! Special thanks to Dr.Verdell and Dr.Patel in cardiology, Dr. Mac in anathesiology , and the receptionist, Cornisha, at the outpatient Pre Op clinic. Also, we appreciate Excellent care by Dr. Smith in otolaryngology who performed my mom's surgery. We give special thanks to Brite ( Bright) who communicated with me during my mom's surgery. Also, we value and are grateful to RN Nikki, who took care of my mom after her surgery & the RN who prepared my mom for her surgery. We are also thankful for Nathaniel, the chaplain, for all the Good work at the hospital!

This hospital use to be the best hospital in Memphis. But now it is the worst. Nurses, doctors and other employees do not care about their patients. They feel as if they can talk to you any kind of way. And the cleanliness of the hospital has really went down. If you are working in patient care you should at least have a heart.

This is probably the best experience I've ever had getting a CT scan with contrast.
The lovely lady who checked me in was so very friendly. Her name is Sharon Townsend.
She was totally knowledgeable of her job. She explained things really well. She waited patiently for me to get through all the signatures.
I noticed an 8x11 sheet of paper stuck to her wall about the way to look at Mondays. I was so impressed I told my husband as she walked us to the next waiting room. She left and came back shortly with a copy of the paper. Amazing! We were so connected because of who she is.
We are nervous enough walking in for any medical x-ray. Sharon put me at ease as I'm sure she does each patient she checks in every day.
Sharon, I hope you get to read this review because you deserve to be applauded for your excellence in patient care!

Slower than slow. Pack a lunch if you're going to use the ER side. Had family brought here from work, needed a few stitches on a cut. 4 hours later, I'm still waiting, literally on paperwork. Hopefully they're better if you've got a life threatening injury.

Took my husband who had shortness of breath and chest pains to the Baptist ER and I swear there must have been only one doctor working the ER. I cannot explain why we had to wait eight hours before being discharged. People sleeping in the packed waiting room, people hooked up to IVs, vomiting, moaning, crying in pain, it’s a horrible, horrible place. Don’t go there if you can keep from it. One nurse, Lexie, was the only bright spot of our whole experience. What is happening at that hospital!? It used to be a great hospital. Now, it’s awful!

Baptist Hospital ER is the worst. My Mom was very sick. She had to wait 10 hours to be seen. A patient was having a seizure right in front of the nurses and they did not even notice. This is an awful place. I will never ever have anything good to say about this hospital.

I would have given them negative stars if it was possible. The ER nurse at the desk tonight ( 10:10 pm) is very rude and has a terrible attitude. It’s just awful to have to deal with this type of attitude when inquiring about your loved one’s health. I understand medical facilities are understaffed but there is no need to be rude. I’m very disappointed in the way I was treated tonight and the lack of empathy. A hospital should be a comforting place. This is not GOD or Christian like. Jesus would be ashamed

We have a lot of money at this hospital over the years! I took my wife there two days ago! Spent 24 hours in the ER waiting on a MRI ! We self discharged. Service has went down badly and the place was nasty!
19.11.2023 15:10
Not the best experience. A lot of times you just hear and see nurses complaining about things in the hallways. Doesn’t make you feel comfy. And for a smoke free campus, I have to say it’s the most smoke and cigarette my kids have ever seen in their life! It’s crazy! Smoking everywhere! It’s all I smelled outside walking to and from my car. My kids constantly had to walk thru smoke to come see their mom. I tried to tell the front desk and security and was told what do you want us to do about it? I responded maybe get up and go out there and tell them to stop? They are literally leaning on the no smoking sign's. Unbelievable
