In the vibrant urban landscape of northwest Miami-Dade, Hialeah Hospital at 651 E 25th St stands as a 378-bed pillar of resilience and cultural history. Born from the visionary efforts of Seventh-day Adventist pioneers in 1951, it has transformed from a modest 30-bed facility into one of the largest and most technologically advanced private hospitals in Florida.

The "Hialeah Soul" of Healthcare

A Multilingual Anchor: Mirroring the city’s unique demographics, Hialeah Hospital is a master of the bilingual patient experience. It was one of the first in the region to fully integrate Spanish and English at every level of care, ensuring that in high-stress moments, language is never a barrier to life-saving treatment.

Specialized "Senior ER": Recognizing the needs of the neighborhood's veteran population, the hospital features a dedicated Senior Emergency Room. This unit is staffed by geriatric-trained professionals and designed with specialized lighting and non-slip floors to provide a safer, quieter environment for elderly patients.

The "Center of Excellence" in Bariatrics: The hospital’s surgical weight loss program isn’t just a department; it’s a nationally recognized Center of Excellence. It is a primary destination for residents seeking transformative, long-term health changes through minimally invasive bariatric surgery.

A Primary Stroke Center: Designated as a Primary Stroke Center by the State of Florida, the hospital operates as a high-velocity neurology hub, providing 24/7 access to advanced neuro-interventions where every second counts.

The Atmosphere: "Mission-Driven Modernity"

The hospital complex is a blend of Hialeah’s industrial roots and sleek, modern medical suites. Despite its size, the facility maintains a community-focused atmosphere that honors its founders' motto: "Christian Care Through Modern Medical Science." It feels like a neighborhood institution because it is—many of the staff members have lived in and served the Hialeah community for generations.

The Spirit of Giving: In its early years, local dentists and doctors donated their revenue and time on a rotating basis to keep the hospital afloat—a legacy of community-funded care that still influences the hospital's dedicated, patient-first approach today.

Our 378-bed acute care hospital opened in 1951 to serve the Hialeah, Florida community. Our team is committed to honoring the trust that our patients place in us by providing compassionate, safe, high-quality care in the right place, and at the right time.

Hialeah Hospital has been honored to receive a number of awards and designations for our superior health care services, including:

I had my brother rushed by paramedics to this hospital, he was intubated and taken to ICU unfortunately he passed away after 11 days because he had a very serious deceased, but I have to comment that the attention that he received was second to none, every single nurse that was on shift for those 11 days were amazing, the way we were treated was unbelievable, the doctors were there everyday they took the time to talk to us and answer every question we had, in this field doctors and nurses tend to forget how to be human but in this hospital they are more than human they have a heart. Congratulations to the upper management because what you have done in this hospital is unheard off.

This hospital is in dire need of a significant overhaul and a fresh coat of paint. It's truly disheartening to witness its current state of disrepair. But fear not, for I am confident that we can turn things around and restore this place to its former glory. With the right resources and a determined team, we will bring new life and vitality to this hospital, ensuring that it becomes a beacon of hope and healing once again.

I was very pleased with the kind and sensitive service of the cleaning staff in the recovery room 238 A. We had Maribel Veitia and Olivia, who did the extra mile to make my cousin (patient) and relatives to feel comfortable despite the harshness of the medical issues. Great job placing patient’s needs and concerns as a priority. Thanks.

I can only tell about Perinatal Services and Ultrasound … my ultrasound Tech was a woman named Briggit, this lady has a stone instead of a warm heart . All medical Staff needs to have Compassion above all . That’s what happens when people work for money only, patients don’t feel they treated like human beings .
